that's my day today =)
I found a soft carrier for the pram/carriage. I'll post pictures tomorrow, or Friday, depending on when I ahve the time. Thursdays are a bit hectic with the yoga at 5.30... idiotic time... better get my irritation out now, since annoyance has no room in yoga. Or was I suppose to accept it, embrace it, leave room for it and feel that it was OK?
I've tried my new phone a few times now. it works fine, but the speaker is very precise, so if you move the phone you don't hear a thing. But that's a minor problem. So far so good, and I haven't dropped it to the floor yet =)

the cartwheel and a forward fall
this is a post I'm doing reluctantly.
Not realizing exactly HOW bad my cartwheels look I promised I would have them filmed and posted...
I added in the forward fall, which I'm equally proud about being able to do. Not the fall itself, but the getting up part...
Please, please, keep in mind that the cartwheel is done on a very small area, I begin it next to the windows, and there was another group training on the main tatami. I felt doing them that I could have done better with a bit of more space and momentum (aka doing more than just one in a row)
Same goes for the forward fall.
Oh, for the love of pup...
and I seriously wanna strangle the dj on the local radio station (yes, Steel...) who just cannot for the life of herself pronounce English names/titles...
Prime examples:

mailorder DAMP
OK, for those who don't know, DAMP is what it's called in our family when someone has a major tantrum.
I got my package today from Ellos. They have a lot of nice discounts and the clothes are so/so...
I ordered a set with 4 preggie-hipsters, that would go under the tummy, nice, and a whole bunch of bikinis 'cos my regular (well, was back when I showed of my body, and then now when toilet urgency goes before loose wobble) bikini-top is just about decomposed by all the chlorine in the pools. The shorts ain't much to cheer for either.
All said and done, content preggie opens package and starts trying on tops. First one out fits really nicely, I got cleavage I can tell you! But... that means the ladies will be escaping all over the place if I try to exercise in it... The rest of the tops were way too small, so I never tried the bottoms since I wouldn't keep them anyway.
And so to the panties, which I (thank goodsness) decided to try on, 'cos the material was kinda icky, not at all what I expected... Guess what? They came up almost to my bellybotton! I wonder how high the high-waisted ones came... To the forehead?

still Monday...
but things didn't go exactly as planned. Or, well, it went exactly as planned before the rain started...
So, when the sun decided to shine today, we (read D) got the plastering done anyway, and one wall painted. Of course, before that we did the utility shopping. I was good wife and cleaned the dishes, made lunch (porridge which I got to eat myself) and coffee.
Then I went to my sister and just hung there for about 3-3,5 hours.

Monday again...
but baby I don't care...
Well, waking up half past 7 felt kinda nice. Looking over at the clock and thinking, "man, I don't have to go to work today" felt pretty darn good.
Only down-part is that it's rain in the air, so plastering the holes created in the balcony wall by the scraping yesterday will have to wait. Which means the painting will have to wait, because Wednesday morning D goes back to work, and since outdoors paint is a bit... less healthy for preggies, it won't get done until he's back.
So todays plans consist of:

- shopping for the balcony, rain don't hinder from buying plaster, paint and utilities.
- doing the dishes *eyeroll* from the party
- going to see my sister, it's been ages!
- cleaning out the car, vacuuming and polishing the inside of the windows to prevent fogging
- install pup's car seat and practice how to do so. D will also practice how to secure mr. Longears and take him loose, 'cos we realized that he needed it badly when he tried the first time *LOL*

picture-post
Not too much to write, but I thought should treat you to some pictures:
Just a little sneak-peak of how the balcony is coming along. Tomorrow we'll start stripping the wall of old paint and loose concrete. Monday we'll plaster and if there's time (aka plaster has time to dry) we'll paint as well.
Hubby dear in his birthday gift, playing his PS3. I'm in the corridor taking the picture, more than half our living room shows in this picture... There in the back you also see the balcony door.
How does a preggie get of the floor?
Very, very unsmoothly...
Hillbilly preggie...
yeah... D thought it was hilarious, so did his mom (who brought him the hat that he had to pound down on my head, 'cos my head is so big) and the boots are D's granddads... like 6 sizes too big...

At least I'm still flexible...

tired, but happy
that would be my hubby =)
He was a bit annoyed at first, about the party, but it ceased once he found out he got an armchair and coffee. And then he got to talk about one of his favorite subjects, whiskey and cognac... *eyeroll*
Turned out I fooled him completely. We took the way home so that we came from the kitchen-side of the house, and he didn't notice the lights were on or the very familiar cars parked along the street. Mom and his parents were parked on the other side of the house, anticipating that I would take him this way =)
He didn't say anything when we got in and the lights were on, he just starred at the floor (later he said he was thinking "where the f*ck did all these shoes come from?") and then got really startled when it started singing from all directions of the apartment.
So, all in all, SUCCESS!!!
Today we're going out to the in-laws. We're going to a flea-market and I'll see if I find a basket for the carriage, since we'll have to leave it outside the apartment due to no hallway.

the final hour...
WOOT WOOT!!!
Just one more hour left before I begin my maternity leave =D
so this will be the last time I sneak company-computer-time, officially at least, for quite some time.
Very slow day today, again, kinda nice. And it ends with cake! A is treating everyone since it's his birthday tomorrow.
Me and D are going out to eat at a local pub (it happens to be located across the backyard as well) and then we'll see what happens ;)
Have a nice Friday everyone, 'cos I sure will!
Oh, and even though he hates to be celebrated...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY POOH!!!
(that's D by the way)

chocolate chip cookies
I made some today, the rest of the batch is in the fridge since the recipe said the taste would improve if it was left in the fridge for a day. given you didn't eat all the dough.
The test-cookies weren't great, but still better than the bought ones. I will count that towards using syrup instead of brown sugar. I was so sure I had it at home...
My shift-button is giving me issues. Well, the keypad in general drives me crazy...
Also tidied up the living room a bit. after this 'puter-break, I'm finishing up the job. D will wonder who I am and what I did with his wife *LOL*
The Boss is having bright ideas all over the place (again...) right now. One being that I need to learn how to handle a new computer system. With 3 days left to work... Genius... The one person who'll be at the department after I leave, is on sick-leave. Back earliest Thursday, which gives me two days tops to learn someone who don't know English, to handle a system (in English) from English manuals. One that I myself don't know entirely how works...
No wonder I'm happy to get out of there.

twilight rant
song today:
Death Cab for Cutie "Meet Me On the Equinox" (scroll down to find)
head title for New Moon. *swoon* and I kinda like it. It has a twilighty feeling that I kinda missed on the TW soundtrack. More like SM's playlists, which I listened to online as I read TW and NM on pdf. And all her extras, and outtakes, and fell for fanfic's... I blame SM for that too, I began by reading her "fanfic"..
It was a piece of magic that happened between me and the 'puter in the middle of October last year. There is never again a time just like your first =) and I found these marvelous twi-communities, and in them some dear friends.
I am not too hyped about the last trailer (OK, so it's "old" now, a week or so) since there seems to be a lot of violence, that isn't there in the book. There has to be a better way to show danger than people throwing each other into the air.

yesterday...
the party was... ehr... let's talk about that later.
I decided to wear #1, basically because then I could have my accessory cuffs, but also because I felt a bit fat in #2. At least now I was unmistakably pregnant. This was also what I thought I would feel best about if we ventured out into the night-life, which was just about certain.
THANK YOU EVERYONE who gave me your opinion! It helped, it really did.
There was some ado about picking up people (since I was driving), involving a pouting dog deciding to go astray in protest. He came home when there was talk about the kitchen cabinet though.
We laughed a lot as we drove out to the last pickup, stopping on the way to drop off some kitchen cleaner at M, very appropriate since they seemed to be cleaning the house.
We had fun, sitting in the sun chatting at TT's place. It was an easy and laid back hour. Driving back to work/the party I laughed so much I got myself a tummy-ache.
The party itself started out fun, having "check-in" and "security checks". A bit of a flight theme with captain and stewardess. I admitted to be smuggling a stowaway....
Then came the "program"... A laughing-coach. Seriously? It all felt fake and shallow. I don't need to do the fake and shallow laughing, I laugh hearty (at myself mostly) just about every day. I sat the exercises out though, since my laughing-muscles were already aching. On the sideline was also J (laughing apparently hurts his broken arm, so he was also in pain from the car ride) and the Discohoppers (uhm, yeah, that's a work-joke) who just didn't wanna participate.
Then splitting up in the color-code on our flight-ticket for the seating. I ended up in company with people who shouldn't be sitting together, since they can't have fun on their own, they need triggers. And I didn't feel triggerish. I had already realized this would turn out the kind of party you needed to be drunk to enjoy. And I don't say that about parties very often.
Food was OK, same company as last year, thai food. Tasted great, but I wasn't really in the mood for thai... I ended up longing for lasagna... *LOL*
They also decided that red lights were the way to go, which was really straining for my eyes. The music doesn't even deserve to be called that. the local radio would have been better. This was before the DJ arrived, so just in the background. But if the party sucks you really need that music to be good.
I sat a lot on the outside. I felt outside a lot. I don't go up to people when sober. Well, my friends yes, but if people are having fun I don't just push myself on them uninvited. That's the main reason I say I needed to be drunk to have fun last night. When tipsy I'm a bit more pushy and actually join crowds, not caring if they don't want me there, if I wanna hang with them.
It got better (but LOUDER) after the DJ arrived, and I had some fun before the night was over. All in all, it was about as much fun I would have had at home in the couch. and I had promised to drive.
I was uncomfortable with some people there, mainly 'cos I have an issue with people who become a certain way when they're drunk. Those who get sleazy and... I don't really know how to describe it...
I guess I'm lucky none of my friends become like that.
I missed D a lot. Not because he always sees me, because he doesn't, but because I know I can always go sit beside him and belong. I don't need to be seen, but I really need to feel like I belong somewhere in a room to be comfortable. As long as I know that, then I don't even need to be there. Just to know that there's a safe harbor within reach.
Well well, I had bigger hopes for this last party with my co-workers, but since we had heard a lot beforehand, my expectations weren't high, so at least it wasn't a disappointment =)
Maybe there'll be an "outing" still before pup arrives, but I don't know... I think the sissy's are getting old, we don't rock it like we used to...

What to wear???
Isn't that the usual preggie dilemma?
Well, I have two outfits that works, I just can't decide...
HELP ME!!!
Outfit one. Will add a pair or two of fluffy handcuffs to this one, since we're supposed to have a funny accessory... And because one never knows when a pair of handcuffs might come in handy...
Outfit two. I haven't the slightest idea what to use as accessory for this though.
And looking at the pictures I jusst think I look fat in either one any way... *sigh*
This one isn't a choice for tonight, one thing to learn, never ever wear white to a company party =) But I wanted to show of my new shirt. From the regular female department. By the way, of all clothes shown, this white skirt is the only one that's maternity wear...
But seriously, help me, should I wear #1 or #2???

café throw-in???
Well, I think I qualified yesterday. Like, REALLY qualified..
if you don't know about the café, don't ask... it was a de-railing that took epic proportions...
Today is just a slow day at work, like the rest of the week has been, so I guess I'm good now =)
Tonight is preggie-yoga. I'm cautiously optimistic that it'll be fun, but have no idea. I have never ever even seen yoga...
I was right, I was declared insane by most people I've told about the cartwheels *LOL*
Except D. His opinion was "You're not made of glass just 'cos you're pregnant", yeah, we sure are two peas of a pod...

training was fun :)
He he he...
3 posts in one day, how updating of me.
Now you won't hear from me in weeks ;)
Just kidding, but this was that kind of day...
Judo was fun tonight! I did the warm-up along with the other "children" and then side-coached since they did tachi-wasa. It didn't feel useless like last time, because I would sit the tachi-wasa out anyway, my knees aren't fit for standing fights.
I can still do forward and backward rolls =D and I can do cartwheels! OK, so I do them badly, but I've never been able to do them properly before either!
And the heart-throb from my early teens, N, was there *sigh*
Unfair! He looks just the same, how he recognized me though... I don't look anything like I did 10 years ago. He seems just as sweet as he was back then. He was training now because his kid sister wanted to train...
He's got the same "thing" as Taylor (you twi-freaks know who I mean), with the velvet eyes, the sparkle in them and the smile, oh that smile *swoon* I still get that warm feeling inside when I think back, on how it was hanging out with him. He was my first time having more than a crush, if you know what I mean.
Now I'm showered and content, and the horrible day at work just feels like fine, it's over. Didn't exactly feel like that when I got home... Guess that's why I was so eager with the floor, something good/fun to distract myself.
My post on FB that I was washing windows seems to have set people on fire... Why is it bad to wash windows while pregnant? Wonder how they feel about me doing the balcony flooring... *snicker*

done =)
Told you it was easy...
and so much fun that I'm gonna do it all over again... or maybe I should admit that there were squares with the plastic broken, so that I turned up ONE short of finished... But if we pick all of them up and turn them around 90 degrees it won't be a problem. Lucky me, right?

flooring is home...
... but no hubby in sight...
Well, I've got me a rag and a bucket of water and am going to start washing and laying out floor =)
And if I'm good, I'll might even make it before tonights judo class. Happy Day! Pictures will gome soon!

the shopping trip & the balcony
Yesterday we went to Sweden to do some shopping for the pup and for the balcony.
Day started nice, my aunt was on the ferry as well, and saw some other people I haven't seen in ages. Well, I guess it wasn't much, but I didn't have high demands since I had been awake since 3:30am (thanks pup...)
First out we went to the grocery store, and shopped diapers, thermometer, soda and some magazines (preggie-mags are the double price here). Then we went to check out the place where D wanted to shop for the balcony. Turned out, it wasn't the one he remembered, and he still don't know which that was *lol* but we found a foam mattress, a down cover, a down pillow (all for the pup) and an egg clock (I killed the old one) for about 35€
Then we went next doors. Found flooring for 1,5€ a piece, pieces being 30x30cm, wood on top of plastic net that you can click-connect so they hold together. But they only had the testers left, and they were awfully scratched, so we decided to ponder that one while we did the rest of the shopping.
In to the city, and after sweeping the fashion stores (Mixit,HM, KappAhl, Lindex) for nursing bras and bikinis, I left with a black sequined top, perfect for the company-party on Saturday.
On our way to lunch I shopped some balls for my tragus (my piercing in the flap "inside" the ear)
Lunch was sushi and it was YUMMY!!!
Afterwards we crossed the street to the baby store and checked out Emmaljunga's Quadrolift but it seemed a bit much for our needs. I think I'll try to find a cheap soft lift, or a used one, or maybe even sew one myself. I mainly want one since the pram will be standing in the stairs because we don't have a hallway. It was worth the look though. Also picked up a free babybox, containing a diaper-bucket, some diapers and a whole bunch of commercial crap.
Now we left town, headed towards Thun's, or so we though at least... Long story short, never use Eniro's travel directions. We got lost, and lost about 45 minutes of time so we didn't make it to Thun's before they closed for the day.
Meaning we headed straight for Uppsala. And missed our turn-off... but we found our way back from the next one instead. They've re-built all of the roads since I was there last, but since Ikea was in the same place as ever, we found our way there without further ado.
We picked up the baby changing station (seriously, that's how they translate it on all signs here) and a little dresser to put pup's clothes in. I'll paint it white once I stop working.
Then to the mall (Gränby Centrum) for dinner and some more shopping. I found a nursing bra I liked, finally! I had all but given up, trying to come to terms with the fact that I'd have to use the un-comfy ones from KappAhl that let my ladies dangle all but free, when I stepped in to Twilfit. It fitted like a dream, was only 199kr and to top it off, the cashier told me they had 50kr off on nursing bras that day.
D found a PS3 game he wanted, and we realized how equal we are, but our unnecessary items (my sequin top and his game) cost the same.
On our way through the day, we had decided to go for the scratched flooring anyway. It was too cheap to deny, and we realized that after a summer with pup any floor would look like that anyway. The decision was to see if we made it back to the store before 6pm. We didn't know when they closed, but we were hoping.
6:05 we stood outside a very dark and closed Rusta, that had been that way for 2 hours, closed at 4pm on Saturdays. Good thing we didn't stress. The training equipment in the pic D bought our first time there. My man is getting in shape =P
So we just went down to the dock, waiting for the ferry. I was exhausted, could have snoozed all the way home if it had only been allowed.
But on the pro side, I got a lot of sleep when we finally got home. Went to bed about 10:30, and didn't wake up to pee before around 7am, and then I got back to sleep until past 10... thanks pup, I appreciate it! So I had some energy today =)
Today I washed the windows on the balcony. It was badly needed, as you can see.
I think this one shows it even better... They have never been washed since I've been waiting for us to renovate first, but now I've had it. I mean, it has to get done before it gets too cold outside. No fun washing windows when it's so cold the water freezes on the window before you can scrape it away. That's how it was when we moved D out of the Turku apartment the weekend before pup was confirmed to exist...
I also washed the floor. Cheezes, that place hoards road dust worse than I hoard chocolate...
And the final corner, or well, right outside the door.
I mostly took these pictures to have as comparison when the renovation is done. D's going back to Sweden Tuesday to pick up the flooring, and the walls will get some white color. The hideous fence under the windows will get covered with wooden panels, what color we have yet to decide. It's between white and the same dark brown that surrounds all windows. The floor will be dark by the way, so maybe we'll need the panels to be white to not get a depressing and dark feeling.
In to the city, and after sweeping the fashion stores (Mixit,HM, KappAhl, Lindex) for nursing bras and bikinis, I left with a black sequined top, perfect for the company-party on Saturday.

preggolicious???
Well not me.
Yesterday I got back-pain so bad I had to leave work. Today was fairly good until I came home and upset D a little. That ended with me crying in bed for half an hour. Would have cried longer but I had to get out of bed and go to preggo aqua gym class.
Note to all men:
DO NOT! tell you pregnant wife that something she did was incredibly stupid. In her head you'll be saying SHE is incredibly stupid... Just so you know...
I ended up feeling fat and ugly. The pup-part of my tummy I don't mind, honestly, I could never think my pup was ugly. But the fluff wobbling beneath... And the thighs... and the ass... *sigh*
I just wonder how my man ever wanted to exercise activities that might conceive a child with me in the first place. And lets not speak of the upper arms. *deep sigh*
Some pictures (before I mope so long that I forget it...)

Maria sent this gorgeous overall for the pup. Sandy-colored and all ;)

This is the travel-bed. I've had it for a few years, I had never seen anything like it when I found it on a flea-market. Will be perfect for the boat next summer. Folds down to a flat half-circle.

Week 31 and going to training. I want this picture as evidence that I DID get into that gi.

And if you ever wondered how a hippopotamus would look wearing a judo-gi, here's the picture. Note how it just about meets itself under the tummy... They are supposed to overlap all the way to the sides... *coughdoesn'twhenI'mun-preggieeithercough*

The picture from week 32 is somewhat nicer =) I wore this to D's aunts birthday party. Pretty in pink, isn't that what they say?
And no, I will NOT show you what I look like in my preggie aqua gym bikini... That sight is nothing that un-preggies should ever have to endure (and I feel sorry for my classmates...)

pictures from tjejmilen
I swiped these from the photo company's homepage. That's why they're so small, just screen-shots. But I think that's just as good...
Do you think I look preggie at all?

Of course, mum wasn't able to hide from the camera either. Photographic evidence that WE WERE THERE!!! =)

Now I'm going to go fold some laundry (3 batches) and hang the one who just finished. And there is one load drying already. Maybe the well-filled hamper was the reason I had such a hard time finding something to fit over my tummy last week... *LOL*

A better day
After two nights of finally sleeping properly I'm feeling somewhat human(ish) again.
Today was a good day, there was so little work that I could send her away, as soon as she arrived. Mn'M wasn't too pleased though. I can imagine, but I told them it was only fair that someone else than me get to see what she's like on daily basis.
And tonight I was up in the dojo coaching the kids. Well, assisting in coaching. I left all the work to F, I mean, he'll be the their leader from now on. It was fun to see them again after the summer, though they weren't so many. I think the numbers will pick up a little though.
The slight jogging and warm-up felt great.
I think the massive mopeyness yesterday was a result of a lousy day at work in combination with disappointment over not geting any exercise on the training Tuesday. I mean, I'm preggie, not handicapped (and handicapped people can do judo just fine, for your information). Seriously, if I just wanna stand aside and watch for an hour I can do that at regular practice, they're more fun to watch anyway.
"Sorry Linda, I don't have the courage to use you." For a freaking roll. Seriously, I could do forward rolls, backward rolls (though that was seriously clumsy) and both back and side falls. To roll gently on the floor wouldn't be a problem. I mean, I'm the one who knows my body best, and if I say it's OK, they should trust me. I was never fragile before, so most likely I haven't turned into a porcelain doll just 'cos of pup.
Tomorrow I'm going out =) Räven plays at Park, and we're going there to listen. He's been doing the troubadour thing at Dinos a lot this summer, but I don't like the feeling of that place. It's were all the "wannabe cool" kids hang. Park was once my second living room, we spent every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday there if they had a musician we liked (Hoxen...) back in the day.
Another good thing, we just got confirmed that the previous owners don't want anything for the carriage, aka we get it for free =) Very nice, though we were prepared to pay for it of course. Now it's just the lamb-skin missing... I want a small-curly one, preferably gray blended, they are so cuddly. I can just imagine pup's little fingers playing with, pulling and tugging at those hard little curls. Awww...
As I'm writing this, I watch pup rummage around in the tummy. Really fun to watch. Doesn't feel freaky at all (people keep talking about feeling like "Alien", good thing I never watched those movies), just wonderful!
