the Buppa Brand
We (aka me & pup) won a footmuff of sorts on a FB-calendar, the 16th I believe. Today I got it home. I like it, a lot. I got to choose from three colors, one white with a black branch, one black with white rings all over, and this. This one made me smile =)v Also, it apparently matches my tablecloth

Day 30 - One last moment
When thinking of last moments, that's where I end up, at "last moments".
Like the moment when mom said "this is the point of no return, now we no longer have time to catch the returning ferry" and 5 minutes later they call from the hospital, dad's leaving...
Or the moment when I cuddled our last dachshund as the vet applied the needle which would end her misery after having had a brain hemorrhage a week earlier.
Or when my sister called me, waking me up as I slept in front of the TV, and almost before she could tell me about my aunt calling because grandma was leaving, I said "I know, they called me too" and not before I stood outside, waiting for her to pick me up on the way to the hospital it dawned on me that if theyy had called me, why was I asleep when my sister called...
And I think of all the last moments, that I didn't know where last moments, so I didn't store them properly and no longer remember them.
Like how I don't remember when I saw my grandma the last time, or the little sissy I used to care for. In both cases I know when I saw them last, but I have no recollection of my last moments with them, because I didn't know that was what it was.

Day 29 – My ambitions
I, of course, strive to better myself, to reach my full potential.
However, I am still uncertain as to what beforementioned potential might be =)
My ambitions at large is to be the best mom I can possibly be, to as many kids as destiny decides to grant me. I would also like to work only part time, and maybe not where I work now. If money wasn't an issue (well, not as big an issue anyway) I think I would like to work in a store as a salesperson, or at a customer service somehow. I think.
As far as academics go, I have no abitions. I hope to pick up some math when pup starts school, so that I can be of use when it comes to homeworks. However, I think it's a fair possibility he ends up teaching me...

Day 28 – This I miss
- I miss the ones who are no longer with me
- I miss friends I've lost over the years
- I miss my memory, along with some screws and pebbles
- I miss living in a house instead of an apartment
- And of course I miss my hubby! (only 52 days left now)
Day 27 – My favorite place
- mom's place, with the sea 10 meters away, on a small hillside embedded in the forest
- the archipelago, to have the sea within sight always
Day 26 – My fears
I fear death, as I've already told you.
Other than that I fear that something will happen to my little pup, and the rest of my family. Other than that, I don't really fear. OK, so I fear heights (but that's just sensible), snakes and spiders (they're icky!) too, but I can put myself above these three fears if needed to, and I can stop myself from whimpering, though I quiver inside.

Day 25 – A first
In a life there are so incredibly many firsts, some more noticeable than others. Some have been life-altering, but still I would never put them to print. Some have been totally meeh, but are probably still remembered just because of the high expectations.
Becoming a mom was a huge first, but I won't talk about all pup-firsts, since I touched them in a previous post.
a first that will always warm my heart is when the "who's still in college?" discussion over at the lex, in the gen-y thread derailed and we laid the foundation for the Café. The first I connected to was Lily, and then Misty, who made us all awesome badges, avies and banners to fit the theme.
I remember my first ever day at work, temping in the cleaning crew at the local hospital. My assignment was the basement (though it was in full use, no dark corners) and the one I'd be temping for kept talking about "the hotel" and after a while I believed I had figured it out (she spoke a bit funnily, and with an accent on top of that), that she said "the chapel" (hotell & kapell sounds pretty alike) but then I found out I had heard it right, it was hotel, and that was what they called the morgue...

Day 24 – This makes me cry
If it's that time of the month, just about anything.
When I'm really tired and everything goes wrong.
If I hurt myself really badly.
When I get really mad the waterworks are basically guaranteed, highly annoying.

Day 23 – This makes me feel better
It depends on why I feel down, but generally puppy-snoozing (aka snuggling a snoozing pup) is an all-cure. Also speaking to Misty and Neva is a sure way to turn my frown upside down. Gingerbread cookies is never wrong, or chocolate for that matter.

Day 22 – This upsets me
- injustice
- harrasments
- child and animal abuse

Day 21 – Another moment
since the "first moment" was of pup, this moment will be dedicated to my husband.
One of our best moments were on our honeymoon, standing at the top of the rock (Rockefeller Center) in New York City, looking out over town. We had all the dreams and fantasies of newlyweds. It felt amazing, looking out over all the people buzzing around down there. We came up just before twilight, so we saw central park in sunlight, dusk and night, along with the rest of the town.
The time in NYC was amazing in so many ways, even as there of course were rough moments too, such as me having bad migraines half the time because my new contacts were crappy, my period deciding to show (with my PCO I don't really know when/if it'll show) and me having brought no pads and of course... Were we to do it again, maybe we wouldn't have brought hub's parents along... ;)
Just kidding, since D's grandma is from NY, it was never a question not to ask them, they've been talking for all our years together about the time they went, 20 years ago.
We lived at a friends home, and saw a lot of the not-so-fancy sides of Brooklyn. Though Sunset Park really have the most awesome view! It was awesome going to Queens Mall, and realizing as we walked around (a bit confused as to why everyone stared) that even me at 5.5ft were half a head taller than most, hubs being a head taller than me. And he's blond, and I was platinum blond at the time, both of us really fair skinned. It was kinda awesome =)

Day 19 – This I regret & Day 20 – This month
Day 19 – This I regret
I regret a lot of things, both done and undone. However I do not dwell on the past like that, I cannot change it no matter how much I regret some things.
Day 20 – This month
The past month have been though, both work-wise, pup-wise, daycare-wise, mentally and physically. I have unfortunately no hope for the coming month to get any better, since hub's is now gone. 60 days starting today he will be doing his practice run on a freight ship. That means it's 60 days until he comes back to us. Pup don't miss him yet, but I bet it won't be too long before he starts searching around the house for his daddy.

Day 18 – My favorite birthday
I think it was when I was 7 or 8 and got a My Little Pony that was brand new (instead of a hand-me-down) with a locket and a secret compartment under the saddle =)
Other than that the top of the list also contains the birthday I spent in Vienna and the one in Lübeck, traveling with my mom, and of course last year when I had a little snugglepup <3

Day 16 – My first kiss
Probably in kindergarten or something like that.
The first "real" kiss was during a lunch break when I had sneaked of school premises with a boy. It wasn't very good as you might imagine, and even less so because I didn't fancy him like that, but I really didn't wanna go unkissed any longer

Day 15 – My dreams
I dream of a house and a bunch of kids. I dream of one day having grandkids. I dream of watching all of these growing up healthy. I dream of traveling to the US, Japan and Australia. I dream of meeting Misty. I dream of meeting Neva again.

Day 14 – What was I wearing today?
at work: jeans, cami and a hoodie, plus trekking shoes (ordinarily I would wear jeans, cami, poloshirt, t-shirt, a fleece sweater and/or a padded vest plus steel-toe boots but I lost my keys+keycard when going to pup's x-mas show)
at baby swim: black bathing suit
now: same cami and hoodie as above, but huge once-black-now-gray sweats instead of jeans

Day 13 – This week
What about this week?
It's been more or less like other weeks.
Today we found out that D's shipping date have been moved. Either to December 15, or December 29. Since we've already settled for a Christmas apart, we chose the 15th. Mostly because that means he comes home 2 weeks earlier. only thing is, the 15th is not even a week away...
