Here we are, at the very end of 2011. I had all the intentions of making a grand post, with pictures and all that. HA! After a hard night with little sleep, I got to stay in bed and when I did I took pup outside to play. And then it was lunch, and time to leave heading towards the in-laws for New Years eve.
Posting this from hubs Android phone, goin mental in the process.

how to dress a Christmas tree
First you vacuum and place the mat, then you start with the base
And then goes the second part
And finally the tree is up and fluffed
Lights and top star
Basic red balls, and as follows some pictures of the more special ornaments in our tree
Bought on Pier 17 in NYC on our honeymoon
Top one also bought on Pier 17, says "our first Christmas together". The angel I bought for pup on the sales after his first Christmas, so it was in use for the first time last year.
The last one bought a Pier 17 (it was a take 3 deal) and my favorite of the bunch, picture is from Brooklyn Heights by the river with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background.
"Pup" made this last year in daycare... Yeah... Well, into the tree it went =)
A felted apple that I've made in school
A candy ball with Winnie the Pooh, but I gave away the candy, I just wanted the cute ball
Christmas gift from mother in law a few years back, it's all purple sequins.
A puzzle ball bought in Lübeck 2004 when me and mom went there.
Gold plated metal treads and red beads, it can be opened, I have an inkling you're supposed to put something scented inside it, but I prefer it like this.
The last NYC ball, bought at "Top of the Rock"
This one I bought for pup at the same time as the angel
This one my sister gave me for our wedding day / Christmas 2008
Trying to catch the real beauty and sparkle of this gorgeous piece
And this years addition comes all the way from USA as well, but this one came from my dear friend Misty. I also have some generic green/white striped balls, some green hearts, some big painted bells and some white frosted balls
And here it is in all it's glory, too bad the camera refuses to take pictures without the flash, so the prettiness in the dark can be shown.

tortured kid
Today is my pup's betrothed becomes 2 years old =)
I wantd to make her something, so sewing it was. Unfortunately time ran out, so she only got a tunic, I tried to try it on pup for size, but as you can see, he wasn't very impressed... It might have to do with the late night though =)

mommy's little helper
Who ever said Christmas parties were fun?
Pup made a great effort to look horrendous in every picture we took of him =)
Trotting around the Independence Day market pushing his stroller, wearing his winter outfit. I just love how it matches with green overall and rd boots, gloves and hat.
Mommy's little helper ♥
For those who knows me, it really shows how much I love my pup, because I let him play with (and thus crumple up) my stash of pretty wrapping papers.
Me and my puppy-love ♥
At the left corner my childhood playhouse and in the background you see the pier and how little of it is showing, I don't even remember the water being this high before
And last but not least, my pupper apparently loves glögg (mulled wine, but not quite, it doesn't equal, but is the only translation), though he gets it like 25/75 or 50/50 glögg/water, of course alcohol free, but I think the most fun is fishing out the almonds and the raisins with the spoon =)

Edit:: Picture removed due to lack of space
A turn to mom last Saturday, trying to help her save her phone/internet/TV line from a tree that the storm had tilted over. To no avail I might add, but at least they tried. At the left corner my childhood playhouse and in the background you see the pier and how little of it is showing, I don't even remember the water being this high before

The wind blew down plenty of trees, here it's 5 in a row, probably dragged down by each other.

Close up of the pier, behind that islet is the open Baltic Sea (or, this part is actually called Ålands Hav, Aland Sea) so you can imagine the force of the wind when it howls inAnd last but not least, my pupper apparently loves glögg (mulled wine, but not quite, it doesn't equal, but is the only translation), though he gets it like 25/75 or 50/50 glögg/water, of course alcohol free, but I think the most fun is fishing out the almonds and the raisins with the spoon =)

too big slippers?
We've had a "slippin" fun time tonight =)
By request, here's the translation:
P: Shoesies, it's a shoe/that's a shoe
P: Cuuuddle
N: Who you're gonna cuddle?
P: Cuuddle the cars
P: the boat, ride on the boat
N: Oh, you're gonna ride on the boat?

Skippers Ball 2011
aka Skepparbalen 2011, at Alandica Kultur och Kongress.
I didn't have the best evening of my life, our table placement was a miss, and that kind of downed the mood a bit.
My dress, pattern by Burda, fabric Dupion (Thai) Silk, seamstress: Me, myself and I
Close-up of me all dolled up. Because I know it's been requested.
I think we matched really nicely, my gown, his tie and handkerchief. My purse also matched, but that didn't make the picture, so I'll add one of just the purse.
