pup

I have no new pictures on this computer, so I'm treating you to one from the last days of January last year. Tad bit smaller ey?

I wanna move

I really, really, really don't wanna live here anymore.
I wanna live out in the woods, in a house, with a yard. I envy every person who are writing "going outside to  play with the kids" on their FB statuses. We have a patch of grass the size of 2-3 parking slots. Now about half of that is covered by the plow-snow from the parking lot and drive way.
I have no need for all the good stuff the town gives, on the other hand, it would be great for me to not be able to just drop in to a shop just to see, but only go when I really need to.

yeah yeah, I'm working on it!

No, I'm not writing. I'm re-reading "Definitely dropped..." because I don't want to get it wrong. I haven't spent time with Red and Fluff in over a year, so I need to go back to our days of "glory" =)
I did think of them today, whenever I had the chance, but work has changed and demands more of me now then it did then. Back when I started writing we had "no brainer" chores that required zero to nill brainpower, which was excellent for building stories.

But I'll do good on my promise to end "RED". Most painstaking is to read the earliest chapters. I needed a beta so badly, but couldn't find one. And before I got a good spellchecker installed that checks everything I write automatically, I had to use a web service, which only allowed so and so much text at a time. And all the spell checking in the world couldn't help me with my grammar... I'm honestly surprised that the girl who ended up being my beta, read past the first then chapters (that's when my grammar was getting if not better, at least more consistent)
I badly need to re-write them, but think the other stories have priority over that.

'Nuff said, I wanna finish "Definitely dropped..." tonight so that I can start writing tomorrow.

re-reading RED

Yup, that was my agenda for the night, and I did it. on the EeePc, which is the size of an big size hard-back Breaking Dawn. You twihards know what I mean, the rest, just don't bother. It sucks reading documents on it,  I can only read 1/3 of a page at the time, if I shrink the doc the text gets too small =(

Oh well, it's done now. I'll try to get struck by inspiration during the weekend, heaven knows I'm tired enough to be delirious in the middle of the day (if you were there back in the days, you know I'm at my writing-creativity-peak around midnight to 2am...), but then there's pup... He makes writing so hard, he makes me loose my groove (if I ever had one) and I can never know how long he'll sleep.

All things aside, I will make an honest effort not just to squeeze out one chapter,  but to really finish the story. And not in one chapter. Red and Fluff deserves better than that, and all those readers deserve to get their will (since I asked them if I should continue and it was an unanimous YES!) which means I will have to write that fight, which I really, really don't want to do. I also need to revisit "Definitely dropped..." and see what I wrote there, it would be embarrassing to mix up my "facts"

If you wonder what all this is about, it's about writing stories. Stories that will never ever be posted here, because it's not the right place. They live on fanfiction.net where they have a slow but steady stream of readers, most of which I think are dying for me to not just leave them hanging like this. RED revolves around the world Stephenie Meyer created, with Forks and the Quileutes as a non participating central part, and is a prequel to a story I felt needed to be told.
In almost all other areas, I root for the vampires, but in the Twilight Universe, the werewolves stole my heart, and as far as twi goes, I'm all wolfgirl.

tired, so: pictures =)

I've framed a few puppy-pic's, plus pictures of the mommy-group. They hang over pup's corner of the living room (as if he didn't occupy all of the floor as well...)

pup likes cookies...

we're getting there

Me and the new camera ain't friends yet, but we're at least progressing in our relationship.
It got a whole lot better when I upped the image size that was set to SMALL (aka 40-70Kb pictures...)

The other day I wondered how come just about every little spoon in the house was in the dishwasher at once. I guess this could be a reason...

My wrist have been aching on and off for years, but last Sunday it was diabolic, and it was a living hell lifting around pup, who took the opportunity to need many rounds to the nursing table. I called the company health care, they sent me to a physic therapist and here's the result. I am to wear a softer brace (that allows movement) while at work. At home, and specifically when I sleep I am to wear this, which have a metal support and fixates my hand (it makes writing on a keyboard really hard 'cos I can only use my index finger on the left now, the brace stops the rest)
She said nothing about bracing the thumb, but when I tried it out at the rental center, this one felt the best. Good thing was that my wrist was a bit sore, so I really felt the relief.
She suspects what's wrong is either beginning carpal tunnel syndrome or beginning arthrosis, or if I'm lucky, both. There were signs pointing either way.

Edit:: Picture removed due to lack of space

Since I found pup soaked in his shoes on Tuesday I haven't been able to let it go, so today we took to the "flashy" babystore looking for shoes (because that's the only place we didn't go last time)
Well, we found shoes. For 69€ *sigh* The girl at the cashier was great though (I think she's one of the owners) and gave me a 15% discount, saying winter's over soon anyway. Still not a small amount of money, but at least I'll know he's warm and dry. And there's a likelihood that any future siblings will have those extremely chubby feet as well, which is the reason cheaper alternatives don't work. We tried, his foot gets stuck half way in =(

the new one, a ixus 980. We're not friends yet, but I think that over time we'll come to terms with each other.

watch me walk!

So, my pupper is getting braver day by day.
Today he kept requesting help to stand up, then wanted me to let go so he could walk on his own into my arms =)

But I felt so sorry for him when we got home. When I picked him up from daycare he was soaking through his rain-pants, but that's hardly surprising since he probably have been sitting in the puddles...
So I hanged the pants to dry (he was in his winter overall underneath) and put the mittens in the drying cabinet and of we went. Coming home and stripping him down I found him being wet all the way up the legs to his diaper =( poor thing! And one of his boots were actually dripping! We might have to buy new ones, so he has two pairs, I don't want him to have to put on already wet boots at daycare (they're out twice a day)

I dunno

I have no idea what I intended to write here, but what the heck...
Lets tell you a story about the other day

Ninna walks along the corridor at work, on her way back from delivering a few things, around 10:30 am.
Ninna: -Wasn't I pee-needy when I got here at 6 this morning?
Ninna: -Ehr, yeah, I was...
Ninna: -Have I been to the bathroom yet?
Ninna: -No...
Ninna: -I probably should go then.
Ninna: -Yeah, and I probably should stop talking aloud to myself as I walk around work...

walking without support

Yup, yesterday at daycare, whilst in the bathroom (biiig one with a small toilet, a big one, two sinks, a nursing table and a gazillion potty's) he let go and took 3 steps. Then sat flat down looking like he wondered what they all were gawking at =)
Then, of course, I coaxed him into taking 2½ steps at home =)
My big, brave boy!
Today he let go on his own 3 times and took a few steps before throwing himself at whoever was closest.
That throwing himself thing is mighty fun he thinks. I just love that confidence he has, that we will catch him and not let him hit the floor

I have a dream...

Images are the property of Trivselhus,
and I only use them because I wanna show everyone how my dream house looks.

And as you probably can guess from the pictures, that dream is a house. This house. Preferably on the lot next to mom's. I've loved this house since I first laid eyes on it oh so many years ago, I think it was when me and D were pretty new together. I just casually browsed the company sites, you know, just "window shopping", and BAM!
A while back, me and a girl I know a bit got talking about dream houses. I wanted to show her mine, and tried opening th saved bookmark. Major crisis, the company had re-built their site, and the house was no longer to be found. At all. I've randomly tried to find pictures of it,I mean, someone is bound to have them saved in their computer, somewhere, but to no good. And then, yesterday brilliance (?) struck me, and I searched on facebook for the company. I found a site, with 3 likes, so I figured fat chance of any of them having built this house, but there were not one, but two web pages listed... The original, and one german. I checked the german site, and loo and behold, there was my house!
Imagine my joy! OK, so there's no picture of the upper floor, that don't matter, I wasn't going to keep it that way anyhow. There was no "download pdf" as it was on the "real" site, but what the heck, Prt Scr is good enough for me =)

Tripp Trapp Trio

First there was one

 Then there were two

And all of a sudden three

Admit it, they make a pretty cool sight, three of them in a row.

Behold the Stair Master in action!

I has curlz...
 plenty 'o curlz...

Stokke Tripp Trapp

Pup's grandma started talking about them needing to change their high-chair, because pup's rocking it to bits and pieces. Which is true. That made me thing that it wouldn't be a very bad idea for us to get one too, the Ikea Antiloop chair that's been great won't last him that much longer, chubby as he is. And I remember loving my Stokke when I was little, I think I used it until I started Kindergarten or something

Mother in law talked about buying a new one, so I checked out the prices... 169€ for the chair, then an additional 35€ for the bar and strap (it also included a back support and something for the feet) and probably the same for the cushions

So I placed an add in the newspaper for a used one. The result:

The first one answering had a chair for 40€, but the strap was missing. It didn't bother me, the ones I remember seeing before in the paper was between 80€ and 120€ so I figured it'd be pretty crappy, but for that price I'd be willing to sand it down and repaint it.Turned out, it looked great. I'm happy.
The cushion I bought for a  few € at a flea market a while back, to have at mom's as backup in case pup messed up the one she have..

Second to call had a well preserved chair for 70€. First I was "eew, that much..." then I had to laugh at myself, prior to buying #1 I would have thought this was a find =) So I took it. Funny thing is, it's well used, and being a darker color it shows easier, so as far as looks go, this one looks worse than the chair that cost half as much... Oh well, it's still 2 chairs for 110€, which is what some people want for one chair.
The cushion I made myself, last night and this morning.

These pictures I took with the alpha today, to please the crowds who's been begging for an update ;) (aka Misty)
I forgot the ixus at mom's place, so when I retrieve it I'll treat you to a really cool image of all three chairs (mine, the new one and the in law's) standing on a row. It was a pretty awesome sight
