The last of August.
This summer has been one o my worst so far, with all the things that could go wrong, doing so, and even some that "couldn't" going wrong as well...
Now it's to an end, and it feels good.
Today has been mixed feelings. My last day as supervisor for my crazy crew, deciding to stay put right where I am, and thus possibly f-ing up my chances for advancing in the future. Finding out not one, but two co-workers are pregnant. Excitement over house-scouting tomorrow. Hubs having gotten good feed back from his employments which gives high hopes for him getting a job "easily" next job semester which is April-September 2012
I'll try to snap some pictures tomorrow, while at the house, even if it's nothing for us (which I kinda hope since we don't really have the money to by it even at the starter price...) it might be a wonderful opportunity to get good pup-shots.
This is the house we'll be checking out: http://www.lyyskikonsult.ax/node/169
Funny thing is, this house is almost visible from the house where I lived my first 5½ years, that house is visible from this one (on a hill surrounded by trees, so very covered from sight, but you can look out) It seems like a house just big enough for us, and given that it's planned alright it could "grow" without having to be rebuilt more than with a few plaster-walls on the inside. And it's on the buss line. But I think I would have to add 30 minutes to my "bike to work" time... and this county are hard-asses when it comes to daycare, and seem all to glad to give you some place a far away from both your work and home as possible. Oh well... we'll se how it turns out.
also, I try to work on a ross stitch gift for a friend, but I have hard finding time/energy, and I'm not in a rush yet, but as this is on the more important scale, I rather not go there... I have to allow time for shipping.
Also planning x-mas gifts (embroided) or a friends 4 kids. Got 2 planned out, charts to one, and then two who'll requier some additional research =)

back on track?
..or on the tatami I might say.
First proper judo session in 2 years. PHEW!
I had my goal to survive warm-up, and I did =)
I survived the rest too, it hurt a lot, wast though at times, but still not as bad as I had expected it to be. About halfway in my muscle-memory seemed to kick in and remember what was going on, and then just moving flowed so much easier. Still I had a hard time getting 10 push-ups out of me in the end... on my knees... jeez...
I expect to have a pretty variety of bruises tomorrow, ranging from tender red to deep black, and towards the weekend all should have subdued, to a yellow state if nothing else.
See, I have no need to cut or otherwise harm myself, I get so beat up by my sport that it's darn right unnecessary ;) *just joking folks, I cut (and burn, and sprain) myself enough just being my clumsy old self*

prizes, baptism and golden locks
The Emmaljunga Big Star Supreme
(aka the supreme I keep yapping about) in all it's glory.
Though it's the old nursing bag,
it now rolls with a matching Navy-colored one =)
And if you ever thought your original Emmaljunga rain cover
was a bit too bigto fit nicely around your pram/stroller,
this would be the reason... It fits the supreme perfectly!

YAY! We won a pack of scudders (pacifiers) after participating in a survey. Me likes!
Especially since he chews through about one scudder a week now...
Golden locks, locks of love.
For some reason, cutting pups hair generates
a much smaller pile than when doing so to his father.
All dressed up at second cousin A's baptism.
and eating crackers/bribes in church is OK, right?
Afterwards we parked next to A's ride, an Emmaljunga Smart Duo Combi, it's the same size as the Edge, the biggest Emmaljunga outside Denmark.
It doesn't looks like such a difference from here, right?
But then if we stand on the other side of them...

me&i-party, again
Edit:: Picture removed due to lack of space
Edit:: Picture removed due to lack of space
Today me and pup went to a Me&i party. Kinda like Tupperware, but for kids-clothes. Two pairs of pants for pup ended up being ordered. Which was as planned. I scouted them online before the party, which meant I could watch pup and avoid the dreary presenter. I have issues with her, really!Anyhow, I've sold away the pinkish overall we bought a few weeks ago, since I bought the brown one instead, and today I also sold away the moomin-boots from last year, that he out-chubbied in January, forcing me to buy him new ones. And tomorrow we're going to check out (and buy if they're good) one spring/fall overall and a nursing bag that matches the supreme.

Emmaus Second Hand Fashion Show 2011
The highlight of "Kulturnatten" (the Cultural Night) was, as it has been for 15 years, the Emmaus Second Hand Fashion Show. For a year clothes with that little extra twist has been stored in a special room just for this night.
Me and pup was in it, since we're there on Tuesdays, sorting stuff people leave for sale/shipping to needed. Emmaus uses the money gained from sales to salaries and such, of course, but their goal is to help those in need, and with the profit they do so.

Since I was in the fashion show with pup, the pictures are taken by hubs, who sat in the audience.
I think he did very well! A bit poor spot to sit in,
of course the lady in front of him insisted on having her head in the way =)

Carina was the speaker and presented us all last night.
This is just a fraction of the spectators, the early count was 3,000 people.
Our choreograph was the marvelous Erica Dunder, and all I can say is WOW!
Some of her dancers also participated in the show with dance numbers,
and I am at awe. I wanna be a Dunder-dancer when I grow up...
and I am at awe. I wanna be a Dunder-dancer when I grow up...
Eldest of the models, 90+ and with two equally stunning numbers.
I wanna look this good when I grow old!!!
Moa strutting her stuff.
To "single ladies", of all songs.
And they were such pretty ladies at that.
Now, where is that guy with the ring?
Someone was eagerly waiting for his que to enter the stage.
And of he went. Africa theme, to Shakiras "wacca wacca"
He's a bit blocked, but this is the only pic where it's visible
that he was shaking his diaper to the music, dancing along with us.
This sequence just HAD to be posted.
Love this face.
And this.
Annica showing it of "pretty woman" style.
And our second number, Asia-inspired.
This girl was awesome, she moved just like a belly dancer
Too bad someone stole her time in the spotlight...
Oh, dancing?
In a circle?
I'll do my own solo here. My heart were aching with pride as he started turning around on his own at the very edge of the stage. And I'm pretty sure that the big "Yay" I heard was the choreographer =) she's my husbands second cousin, and she was elated to hear pup was going to be in.
Annica in the final number, the masquerade
Moa, and my opinion is that the stylist destroyed the look of that dress by making her wear a skirt underneath (you have to, the other girls you go out with have long skirts, it doesn't match otherwise)
All the models on stage, not very visible, but we're in three rows,
me and pup were among the first out, so we were in the back.
To the far right is Stina, the stylist.

shopping for the future

There was an add for Kavat-shoes sice 26, which is what I suspect a certain pup will wear next fall. They were out for 14€, which I thought was a good price. After some mailing back and forth, we decided I would come and look at som overalls and some other shoes.Since the other shoes were Kavat as well, I figured the price would be the same, maybe a few euros less for the sandals, and thought 40€ for 3 pairs of shoes. Yeah, I'd take that any day.
Unfotunately the overalls were to big or too small, except 1 brown in Beaver-nylon. That cost me 5€.
The dressy shoes and sandals, to my surprice, were 8€ each, so all in all I payed 35€ for one winter overall and thre pairs of shoes. That's a find people!

supreme lovin'
So, took the Supreme out for a spin yesterday, forgot the camera though. Pity!
On my way home I had company, a co-worker and her two dogs. Chester, a pretty beige whippet, and Rocco, a naked dog of sorts. Chester, being the distinguished gentleman that he is, stayed at the curb, walking nicely. Chester kept running here and ther, preferably in front of the pramwhere I had the hardest time not running him over, since he stopped ever so often. In the end, we scooped him up and placed him in the shoppingbasket underneath. We weren't sure he'd stay even a second, but we were misstaken. He loved it. He rode with his head igh, tongue out and obviously thinking that was the proper way to take a walk =)
Like I said, pity I forgot the camera!

The overall got sold, along with another one in black with white animals prints on it that I found while searching for something else. Nice =) The blue Reima overall we'll save for later kids though, since it's in very good condition.

This is the stuff I have up for sale at the moment. The overall is from last year, and the shoes are all the kind that pup had too chubby feet for, and outgrew though he had plenty of room left to the toes...The overall has an interest coming to check it out during the weekend.

SOLD!
These boots got sold today for 15€. I don't remember what they cost me, but they are unused, since when the cold weather came, pups feet no longer got down...
