depresing rant

I got a new mommy-group. Moving in with December, but seeing the list there's quite a few with November as expected due-date so...
Next meeting is 24th of February, it feels so far away.

I'm gonna call about baby-swimming on Monday, pup's gotta be 3 months to join, and on Monday he's 12 weeks old. Mama's big boy =)

I'm beginning to feel isolated. Even if D'll take pup if I wanna go somewhere for a few hours, I have nowhere to go. I've been to sauna with E twice, that's it. I've sneaked out on town on a few occasions, because I didn't wanna torment pup with the stores, and well, if I'm gonna leave him outside I'd might as well leave him at home.
E asked me when I can come dancing with her. I see FB statuses about dancing and I want to, I want to so badly, but it'll never be like it once was. Not 'cos of pup though, it's been years since it was so much fun that time flied. I guess I've just grown old and bitter.

Welcome baby girl

For my cousin who gave birth to her second child, a daughter this time, early this morning.
Both mother and child are well, the delivery was swift and fairly easy, well for a labor at least. She was 3380 gr and 47 cm, and nowhere near as big as the doctors predicted. Phew

snowstorm, x-mas gift and wacky doctor

It's begun...
No major winds yet but the snow have started falling a bit more rapidly and it's the kind of "dry" light snow that easily blows around, so I'm a bit curious to see how high the drifts are tomorrow when we wake up.
For those not from around here, we're expecting the worst snowstorm in a long time.
I'm a bit concerned about the electric, since there's always black-outs during storms here. Not for food, we'll manage and pup'll just have to do with what mommy got. As for washing him we got some wet-wipes in the Libero giftbag we received on his first check-up.
No my concern involves how we'll see what we do when it's breast feeding time. Pup sucks alright, but if I don't steer he'll suck onto wherever he reaches and that hurts as hell!

I was out a brief moment when I went to collect this years x-mas gift from my employer. We got running shoes... But I guess they'll be good for aerobics or something.They don't look all that bad, and they sure beat any indoors shoes I own. Especially since the indoor sports I do are both barefoot, one in water and one on tatami. They were also personal, so there was no way for me to give the certificate to D instead, though he could really have used a pair of running shoes. He would even have used them for their intended purpose.

The doctor who did my check up 2 weeks ago called me to day (phone appointment) and he could see no reason why I couldn't be in water... He even gave me a few tips on how to prevent my mucus membranes from dehydrating even more (and thus becoming more brittle) and such.
Why couldn't he just have told me that 2 weeks ago when I begged him for that kind of information?

But it would make aspects of life easier to not have one that occupies all the space in the trunk of the station-wagon and then some. Especially if you go on a shopping-trip. Or just any trip really...

We're thinking about two pushchairs. Both Graco so that we can click the car seat into them. this one I really like, but this color is not available any more...

A certain little puppy in the household have realized he's got a tongue =)

Puppy has also realized that he loves sleeping on his belly, to both mine and D's discomfort. He only gets to do it during the day on our laps or when we're right next to him if he falls asleep when on the floor. Sleeping face down isn't good because it increases the risk of SIDS/PSD

seriously, does the universe hate me?
My mommy-group got canceled/dissolved since we were only 2 left. One didn't think it was worth the trip (over 1h one way) and the other got her baby 21st of December. And 2 people were too little to have a group.

Since I can't do either aqua-gym or baby-swim (which I've kinda looked forward to since I was sure to keep my baby) this was my last social interaction that wasn't just stolen minutes while pup sleeps and D watches him.
They offered us to join in with January, because so many from November had been there to begin with (because they had been at their couple-class instead of our own) that December was too full already.
Thing is, I don't wanna group with January! Those kids will be 2-2,5 months younger than pup, and at this age and for some time to come that is an immense amount of time if you regard development...
Not to mention our kids will never be in the same groups since ours are -09's while theirs are -10's...

FUCK!
I was really looking forward to aqua-gym and now I can't go. I also fear that regular gymnastics/aerobics/exercise will be too much for my sore and brittle pelvis.

I started on the baby album. I searched long for a good book, and when I finally settled for one that would have to do, and started writing in it, they got a new one in that's EXACTLY what I wanted. Unfair!

Linus' granddad turns 45 today, so we're going there for dinner.
Don't really have anything else to write, our life is quite boring at the moment...
