the BIG car seat

Due to some logistics problem (aka, I left the baby seat in mom's car) we premiered the BIG car seat today. I'm not definitely sure it'll go in the back, but so far it does.
Pup liked.
So much that on the way home from the mommy-date he fell asleep ♥

the boat ride

Grandpa was here today, leaving us with the bucket-load of pictures I took at sea.
Here's pup with his grandma and grandpa, on the jetty just before we set out.
As if to prove he could sit on his own, he did just that, even as the boat rocked and his grandma worried.
It's OK grandpa, you can leave, I'll take it from here...
It's hard work steering a boat. Puppy-nap with the Lava-dragon and cuddly blankets is very nice, so is the soothing sound of the (not so) roaring engine.
It was mighty fun to sit on the roof of the cabin, seeing everything and feeling the wind up your nose.
That the mom looks like a buffoon only makes the pup look cuter =)

the cutest thing

My only regret is not getting this (or actually, forgetting to go to the store and thus, forgetting to buy it) last time we were in Norrtälje.
As it was now, we bought the very last one, fished up from the display, where it was perched on a bunny in a hammock. Only wish we had had it for midsummer.
It has elastics in the back and will fit for years and years to come. It cost 125 SEK, and for the detail I consider it cheap. Especially since people charge over 350 SEK for a f-ing pram curtain, which takes about half an hour to make and is as simple as it comes...

wroom wroom

Today was Sweden, again.

Went OK, I have serious issues with the summer staff at BP, but that can't be helped.

We were early in the harbor and I went up to the café to buy myself and mom some ice cream. When I come out a blue car pass me on the other side of the divider fence, with a very, very young driver...

a really good day

The day started out really great, with the school D applied to accepting him. This is wonderful, and makes the coming fall a bit easier to bare.

Then it was time to try out the improvements I made on the pram, to lower the harness. There is a minimizer cushion to buy, but of course they didn't have a acceptable color in store. I saw another pram with this kind of concept and brought out the sewing machine
To celebrate summer, acceptances, sunny day and so on and so forth (and to have a reason to ignore the much needed laundry folding) we went down to the beach to try the brand new sun-tent.
It doesn't really show in this picture, but the beach was pretty full, not crowded though, which was nice. That gave us a place in the sun, but still on the grass. If I'm not gonna swim, then I don't want sand everywhere either...
Pup enjoyed himself alot.
And discovered something very interesting right outside the tent. It didn't taste very good though. I tried loading a video, but apparently that wasn't doable.
When we came home it was feeding-time, which resulted in bathing time... Can you say ears filled with plum puree?

Bathing in a bucket was fun, and the fishes were much more fun now that they didn't have the whole bathtub to escape in =)

tired

The lack of energy is complete, utterly and total.
It doesn't help that pup wakes me up by crying, at 5 am almost every morning. It's much easier to take the early mornings that (approximately) one day per 2 weeks that he doesn't cry when he wakes up. Because when he cries, he doesn't stop with just some comforting, you have to get up, change his diaper, dress him, make his food and feed him, about half way through his porridge the cries usually subside...
No, why would I be tired. I'm just whining, my son could never be like that, he's such a sunshine. Even people who really should know, tends to forget/ignore that knowledge after a few secs with Mr Charm-Pup himself...

first time in a boat

boat as in not ferry that is.
and what did the gnuffer's mom do?
Yep, she forgot her cameras. She intended to bring both...
She made due with the grandfathers, but grumbled over the lack of settings, the preview that couldn't be sturned off, and the general slowness of the camera. But quite a few should turn out good. The camera will accompany it's owner to town on Wednesday, so then the pictures will be copied to us.

Midsummers Eve in pictures

Pup sat by himself, reading his favorite book while we (and the rest of the villagers) dressed the pole.

of course ours were the prettiest crown (always is)
dance you fools, dance
pup keeps an eye on the dancing-games around the pole
then home for a nap (pup+granny) while me, myself and I sloughed with some rhubarb pie, a cider and a book. Nice!
Family picture
haven't had one taken since new years eve
on midsummers eve no one has to go to bed, the tradition say you should stay up all night. So pup sat along as we ate outside, and when he got too tired to sit up, we just folded back down flat.

HAPPY MIDSUMMER!

We'll be celebrating at mom's.
Picture is from last years celebrations. This year we're trying a new format, raisingthe midsummer pole in the afternoon.
Pup started partying prematurely by waking up howling at 2am.
And then began his day a quarter past 5 *GROAN* and is now whining/crying/just hanging in his jump-swing. But I just can't muster the strength to comfort him, even if I knew how to.
He's not happy in my lap either, it's boring, nothing ever happens there. And I understand him, he's spent the bigger part of his first 6 months in life in that lap, it's time to explore. But when you can't crawl yet, and rolling just send you crashing into the kitchen cabinets, then life isn't easy =) and he doesn't really crash, he controls his rolls really well, he just starts howling 'cos there's something in the way.

I'm utterly, completely and hopelessly sick of living in town! I want a house NOW! Or at least to be allowed to buy the piece of land I want, so that when we have two solid income's we can start building a house. Then it would be easier. I hate the town, especially during summer. There's people everywhere, it's warm and nice and sunny, but there's no yard on my house, so I can't enjoy it without going to a park or something, and that requires heaps of stuff when you have a pup. I suppose it will get better, at least the luggage department, but I really don't wanna live here, I want my son to grow up outdoors, and not just in the pram either.

But never mind all that!
I hope you all (who celebrate it) have a wonderful midsummer/johannus whatever it's called where you're from. I'll post pictures of us, if I manage to get any good ones.

what to write? (turned into a Twilight rant)

I have like an itch in my body, I feel restless...
I wanna write, but has no inspiration whatsoever. I wanna read, but no books seem appealing...

I wanna see Eclipse in on a real theater and not just in a auditorium with a (old fashioned) projector. At the same time I'm not so sure I wanna see Eclipse at all...

Eclipse is my favorite book in the Twilight Saga. I admit much due to the fact it was my first. It's like your first love. You might find someone way better later on, but the first will always be the first...
Not that EC is a bad choice in any way. It made me wanna scream out loud in a crowded cafeteria when the heroine was being a dumb-ass, it made me cry basically the last quarter of the book. I cried so bad I got dehydrated (TRUE!) and was so angry at that stupid little girl for not seeing her fiancée for the controlling, manipulative, jealous douche bag that he was. I was dying to read Breaking Dawn, to know what happened, but made myself read Twilight and New Moon first, because I needed to understand her silly infatuation with him.

I am the first to admit that when it comes to the TW saga I'm a wolf-girl. All the way, down to the fury tip of their tails. But very much is Because of the second male lead, Jacob Black. As far as personalities go, he was a carbon-copy of my husband to be (found EC roughly 3 months before our wedding). I also saw so much of myself in Bella, therefor her choice was so, so wrong. How could she not see how wrong her choice was, why couldn't she rise above her bedazzlement with Edward's glittering vamp beauty (which was all she ever ranted about anyway) and choose a good, loving, living man instead?

Oh well, I got over it. And Jacob finally did get his happiness. Though I would ♥love♥ it if Stephenie Meyer would one day continue the saga, I don't care from who's perspective (but preferably Nessie or Leah!) I just wanna know that my carbon-copied husband get his happily ever after...

So, I fear that the movie will not meet my expectations even a little. Twilight I was still riding the high, it wasn't great, but that was OK, TW wasn't one of my fav books anyway. Everyone said NM was so much better, but I didn't get the chance to catch it on big screen. Lucky I didn't. I think NM was buttfucked violently. I fear the same will be done to EC. The only good part of NM was the wolf transformations, but the wolves themselves was a bit too... goofy if you know what I mean? And I hate that they replaced Sam and Embry from TW. And as much as I like tattoo's, WTF? Come on, that's just geeky.

OK, Twilight rant over... for now at least. I suppose I gotta go tend my pup... *eye roll*

the trip

sunny spot in Skåne
playing hard to get when the girl is flirting
BRIO Lekoseum
the toys in display were wonderful! we're so going back there in a few years when pup's a bit older, because they had a lot of stuff for kids to play with, and a floor down was santa's workshop

sharing (and chewing) each others toys. they looked mighty cute sitting next to each other like that, and were content for pretty long times just playing
the only pic of the future father in law *eye roll*
the huge salad ended up costing me 52 SEK but then again, the girl had to try three, yes 3!, times before she got the lid to hold down, it was so full.
while we were away pup learned to stay sitting on his own. Mommy's little precious is getting big *sob*

home again

exhausted. tired. showered. nauseous (damn you x2000).
Will do a proper update tomorrow, or some other day when I start to feel remotely human again

gloomy and rainsick today

Yesterday was nice and sunny, just enough clouds so that it wasn't too hot outside. Inside it was a bit too much, but I know from home how hard that is to do anything about. We took a long walk around the town, visiting our  host's workplace and the had lunch in a wonderful bistro! For 45 SEK you got a 400gr salad, and it was one of the best I have ever had. They make them to go as  well, so I ordered one that I'll pick up on my way to the train tomorrow (they open at 8am...).
Quite the difference from the pre-packed one that I bought at Stockholm Central for 95 SEK (OK, so I got a bottle of sparkling water in that  price too, but still!)
Also looked in a clothes store, which had so darn cute baby-stuff.
Today the plans involve the Brio Lekoseum (Playoseum, a toy museum) and the Brio store next doors. Too bad the weather is so booring, but we brought the rain-cover for pup, so he'll be alright! I however, will get wet if the rain starts =) But it's OK, I have other clothes to change in to later.

And we tried mini-oreo's =) I love them! I think a original sized one might be a little too much, but these were perfect! And since they're so teeny-tiny you don't have to feel guilty about taking two *eye roll*

But pup stayed up way beyond his curfew again, though only because he started coughing just as the bottle was empty, had there been just a little left he would have drifted off again. Oh well, he went to bed around 9 pm hometime. And moved to my bed after some nightmares, and then woke up crying at 4am (hometime) and got a clean diaper and his bottle and slept to 6:30! I got to sleep in! YAY!
Now he's napping again, with a firm grip of a bunny-ear

sleeping away

Pup was up late last night, it was close to 9pm our time that he finally was ready for some sleep. I had some hopes that it would lead to longer  morning-sleep, but no. But on the other hand, he didn't eat so that's OK. He started crying, but stopped as soon as I picked him up, and fell asleep again. I brought him to my bed though, not trusting he was really asleep. But there he slept until just after 5am, as usual. And now he's sleeping his morning session. It's nice that he don't mind sleeping in a new bed, but I guess Mr Longears, his pillow, blanket and the kissing-bunny might help with the home-smell and feeling.

On another note, my devious plan worked. If you don't know about it, then you're not supposed to and it doesn't involve you anyway ;)

meeting the future daughter-in-law ;)

After some rough hours on the fast train (which really made me queasy) pup started to really protest, an after the linking train I think he'd be very happy to never have to use the carseat again.
The lovely Neva was waiting for us at the station, I'm fairly sure that if nothing else had given us away, she would have heard us, since pup was screaming at the top of his misery....
For those who wonder, the trip went well, my hosts seem very nice and the pup+betrothed got along as well as babies usually do. Tasting each others toys and such =)

soon bed, I'm exhausted. Hope pup sleeps long in the travelbed, the one I'm using didn't feel like it would  be comfy to share *eye roll*

traveling

Leaving home at a quarter to 7 this morning. We'll be gone 4 days, but it looks like we're moving...
I blame it on 1 the playnest 2 the jumpswing and 3 Mr Longears...
Traveling by buss for the first time.
He slept most of the way, woke up with about 10 minutes left
and now we're on the train, an X2000 that tilts in the curves and even tries to give me, me, motion sickness.
I bought internet with my ticket, and it's so worth it! A bit hard to write from time to time with the train tilting here and there and everywhere.
Pup's reading his rustle-book

packing for the trip tomorrow

Edit:: Pictures removed due to lack of space

What do you mean OD on the gifts???
There's a pillow underneath, it's not so many, they didn't cost that much and most of all: it was so much fun... It's only... 7... 9... 12 (but two count as 1, so 11)... 15... 16, but the last is for someone else, if the gods are willing... That's not so much... right? *sheepish grin*

a bit of a teaser of what's to come (because the above picture doesn't really show anything) and as soon as I'm done here I'm finishing it up.

Guess what this is!
I bet you'll have serious troubles with it.
They're made of glass and rubber, you really just need one but two might come in handy...

challenge

I finally remembered what I came here to do!
I decided that I was challenged to this by one of the bloggs I read (not really, but she challenged someone with the same name as me). The task is to find, and post, the tenth (10th) picture you posted in your blogg.
Mine turned out to be a marvelous one ♥

When the picture is posted you challenge five (5) new people.
I hereby challenge Janny, Mmmaria, Madeleine, Andréa and Paula to do the same.

new clothes

nice, really nice!
I really enjoyed the new design-tool, and hopefully the commenting should still work ;)
Only problem is, I no longer remember what I came here to do... *LOL*

bye bye Lunarstorm

I was going to be good, only swiftly check some threads...
Then I stumbled over a topic, talking about the wide-spread community death, mentioning Lunarstorm. I had to go see for myself, and true enough... Now I spent hours saving down the poems saved in the diary (those that weren't lost in the server crash a few years back that is) and then deleting everything before deleting my account. I prefer to control what of my pictures and writings are out there myself!
So the road has come to an end. I'm feeling nostalgic and had to image google a little...
The original look of the place when I started up my account in 2001
A close-up of the statusbar. those feet would "walk" if someone wrote in your guestbook, the heart would pound if there were friend-requests, the bottle float (on invisible waves) for mail, the pen scribble for answers on the discussion board and the light bulb light up when there was news. The satellite dish I don't remember, I think it was liked to a function I didn't use.
Then the logo changed and Bjarne disappeared.

And after that it all just went down hill in my opinion.
Still, it was my first comunity, I was drawn there by friends in chatrooms who got sick and tired of the Anna, trippel D and willing's flirting with Mr BIG Qock's...

It was a trip reading those "diary" entries. I was sincerely broken. Defected even. How I could feel so much pain and sorrow and still not realize I had to dump that no-good low-life of a boyfriend I had...

Thanks Lunar, for being my first!
Rest in Peace!

Diana's extended baby weekend

So, the weekend with competitions and stuff at Dianas blogg became extended until next weekend is over. Go over and check it out, lot's of great stuff to win, I'm linking the competitions I attend in the right side column.

a day for celebrations

The reason it's called a footsack... it's there for you to rest your feet on. He does this all the time now, preferably when he's barefoot and the sun is out. He does not listen when I tell him that babies shouldn't try and get a tan...
Blueberries?
What blueberries? I haven't seen any blueberries...
They claimed they came to eat cake at the Autonomy Day celebration on the big square, but we all know they really came to celebrate pup's 7 month birthday

update

well, 3 hours and 20€ later I'm none the wiser.
All tests were great, but I'm going in for blood-works Thursday morning (they're closed tomorrow). They even did a EKG that showed nothing more than my heart making a double-beat every now and then, which is nothing of concern. Blah!
This was what I expected and also the reason I was reluctant going in.

Luckily my mom came to stay with us after she gor of work at 4:15, and then she took pup for walks when he got bored by the pram being still.
I HAVE THE BEST ♥MOM♥ IN THE WORLD!

update

I just called the health care center, and the nurse on the phone didn't much like what I told her *eye roll*
She wanted me to come in for the evening sessions (or whatever it's called) where you're in a queue and the one next in line get called up and sees the doctor. She didn't think it sounded much like a regular faint, and since nothing similar ever happened before (the trashing) she wanted me checked up. So now I'll pack up pup and be on my way (the line starts at 4pm, but you can sign up and get a number from 3:30 and it's now 3:15)

low pressure

This is not a very upbeat post, this morning my blood pressure came to a new low. Not that it's exceptionally low normally, but on the lower side of normal. Head-rushes and such are fairly commonly occurring. Today while getting myself of the floor to make pup's bottle (and this isn't done swiftly, my pelvis showed dislike with the soft bedding at mom's) my head starts spinning. It's a big spin so I grab the stairs next to me, but it only gets worse and I'm aware of lying on the floor, banging my head into a paper bag and my knee into something hard (turns out to be the stairs). As soon as it stops I'm up and on my way. I get about 3 steps before reality (and my pain filled head and knee) catch up with me... I burst out into tears, goes to sit on the bed for a few seconds to gather myself, and then go back to inspect the scenery. I've banged my head not only into the bag, but also into the brass lined edge (about an inch high) around the fireplace, kicked the stair repeatedly and kicked away the blanket pup was laying on just before I got up to make his bottle (he had rolled away to chew on a basket, luckily!)
This scared the hell out of me, I tell you!
After browsing the web, the spin and fall is clearly effects of low blood pressure (which I kinda knew, my pressure is on the lower side after all) but the spasms I find nothing for, because I could not control the trashing, believe me, I tried...
Now I'm debating with myself whether to call the health care center or not. I wouldn't wanna bother them if it's only my blood pressure dipping extremely low...

sleeping away

Today seems to be a better day, pup's already slept for 45 minutes, and after lunch we're going out to my mom's. We're staying the night, so If you don't see me anywhere that's why.
The reason for our flight is the construction work (what else?) which makes the town close of the water today at 6pm, for pipe-replacing, until 5am tomorrow. If nothing fails.
I will not risk staying at home with pup without running water. Sure, food and everything is no problem, and he should be asleep most of the time. But if we stay I'm quite sure his diaper would leak and I'd wake up to a bed full of poo and nothing more than a bucket of water to clean it with...
And since it's sunny, we're going out early, mummy wanna work on her tan *eye roll* and pup really enjoys sky-watching the few times he's tried it.
And then tomorrow D comes home. I've missed him. But it's OK, really. I figure next round will be harder, since he'll be out for 2 weeks. Maybe, but just maybe, he can leave the ship on midsummer to come spend the evening with us, but it depends on what security number he'll have (certain ones have to be on board for security reasons, the numbers rotate)

Here comes the pictures I tried to load the other day, and then some. Pup attended a pool-party Saturday, but his mom stayed out of the water and soaked up some sun =)

Edit:: Pictures removed due to lack of space

apparently blogger still thinks some of my pictures needs flipping, and that I shouldn't arrange pictures the way I do...
Well, shrinking them helped some, click them and they get big, but yeah, it looks like it does...
