the me&i shopping spree

Even though I only bought items on sale, I ended at a staggering 119€
However, since I have a feeling all three items I bought for myself will be returned, that amount will most likely become smaller, but still, sale or not, these aren't cheap clothes.

Edit:: Picture removed due to lack of space

This came just before easter, and I loved it in the mail-out. However, no one had a party then, and I didn't feel like start up the whole order-online-routine just for a jumpsuit.  This will be a perfect pajama/playsuit this summer, especially if it's going to match last summer in heat.

Edit:: Picture removed due to lack of space

These I pretty much did "eeny meeny miney mo" with the red ones with a snail that pup has. Good choice, the red ones were sold out, and now I get these cheaper =)

Edit:: Picture removed due to lack of space

Last time I was dithering. I wanted this either as a sweater or a t-shirt, not a body. There was a t-shirt, but with sky-blue background instead of white, and to me that made all the colors wrong, it made everything just that much off to be off-putting. Now I realized that a body in the biggest size will be perfect in the fall, when he's still so small I wanna be sure sweaters don't ride up in the back.

Edit:: Picture removed due to lack of space

This "tunic" will most likely be either too small over the bust or too short.
Of of course, it could be both. If it is, I'll send it back

Edit:: Picture removed due to lack of space

These leggings/knickers will probably be too tight over the thighs
and then too big in the waist, and thus go back

Edit:: Picture removed due to lack of space

This dress will probably not fit, and go back as well

a better day

not quite a good day, but definitely a better day.
I am reluctant to share more at the moment, because I have no control of who reads this blog, but I hope to be able to give the entire story next week or so.

and by the way...

and
and that's all I'm gonna say on that subject.
Those of you who knows what's going on in my life,
will know what this means.

Me&i

Clothes party today, the brand being Me&i (Tupperware, but clothes pretty much) and very unlike me, I shopped a lot. I found all three items I had considered buying full price before, on sale. Also some stuff for me. That I'll have to try though.

the sock-monster...

Are you familiar with the expression "Sock-eating-monster" or just short "sock-monster"?

Here in my country that is "the being" responsible for how you always end up with 10 single socks, but never find their counterpart, when all the laundry is done and the hamper is completely empty.

Here in my house, it has a name. Linus. When he comes home, if you don't remove his socks, he'll take them off, not both at the same time, and hide at least one of them. He also hides other stuff, and stashes cookies "for a rainy day".

Today was the extreme. I've been searching for the travel-case for my NDS for a while, but today I've done it properly. Nowhere to be found. And I had given up (all my DS games are in it...) and were instead putting away some of pup's too small clothes. I decided to, finally, limit the amount of shoes, since he loves shoes we've kept the ones too small out, even the ones he never could wear.
And of course, one boot was missing. I went seeking it, we have a few places it can go logically (and then quite a few un-logical if the first ones don't work out) and it was in the first, under the drawer oposite of his wardrobe. On the bottom shelf however, pushed as far back as possible, under a pair of socks, my light pink travel-case peeked out...
GAH!

2 more gnawers

Yup, two days ago I was just checking on pups teeth, as the "fangs" are next in line, and I felt something... Turns out, he had one fully sprouted and one which had just broken the skin, on each side of his mouth... And for some reason #8 is missing in the picture... Oh well, it's not missing in his mouth, so that's OK =)

pirate-party with teh daycare

My two little sea-scoundrels

There was a treasure hunt

Treading dangerous paths

Climbing heights

And the meeting an infamous pirate , who was actually pretty nice and gave every kid a gold coin.

All the kids sang for the gathered parents. They were awesome!

Well, nupper-pupper and a few other mini-pirates of his age didn't sing, they protested loudly against not being allowed to play =)

And when all was sang and done, we had a picnic in the green grass.

in the dungeon...

The latest addition to the pram-park. A Knorr stroller

Uh, dad, that's MY stroller...

MINE!

And it's obviously a racing-stroller. He went at least 10 times around the house with it, then pursuaded his grandmother to let him race it inside, and he went round and round and round...

And coming home he was still not tired, he walked happily on the track

Uh?

Though someone kept drooling on the track, making it wet and icky... Bad daddy...

And tonight hubs and his friends are playing D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) in our living room. Fair enough, if my back hadn't been bad, they would have been elsewhere.

new second cousin

Late last night, not much before midnight, pup got a new second cousin.
He has 8 of them from before, but still this little one warms my heart a little extra.

Welcome to the world baby boy!

dresses

So...
Last Saturday in Stockholm, I saw some seriously hideous creations, this being one of them. And I even saw a girl before me in the line buying one. I suppose you gotta love diversity but still...

I tried on this little dress, because I love the style and the color and it pretty much screamed my name there on the rack. Didn't fit me though =( It marked my already broad shoulders and made me look like a soviet wrestler...

I did try on this jeans dress as well, and it fit. The downer was the price, I didn't think it looked good enough, or was pretty enough, to cost me 399SEK (39,95€)

the parental vacation

Friday night we left pup with his grandparents and had dinner there, and then went home to sleep. Oh how nice to not be woken up in the middle of the night by a howling pup.
Then yesterday we took the early ferry to Sweden and then the buss up to Stockholm (thanks mom for the free tickets) and strolled a little.
Our reason for going was simply to see "Pirates of the Caribbean: on stranger tides" in 3D. It was a good enough movie, no waste of money, 3D was cool (not awesome though, I think pirates was the wrong kind of movie for that) though my glasses didn't work as well as the should, due to me having my own underneath. Then again, had I been wearing contacts I would probably had a migraine and not been enjoying the movie at all.
We bought +seats, which were 2€ more expensive than the others, their slogan was "a little better, a little more expensive" They were in perfect height for the screen, had wider, more comfortable seats that reclined and more legroom. Well worth the money!
Then some more strolling and some light shopping before heading back home.
All in all, a really nice day!

picture dumping

I have a ton of pictures in the cameras, both the ixus (Canon Ixus 860IS) and the alpha (Sony Alpha 33 SLT) but have been reluctant to save them to the computer since it's a bit (read A LOT) strained from harboring all the TV-series I had stored on my EeePc. Some are from Mother's Day, others just from different days and times.

The cable-ferry being on the Simskäla-side for lunch break, so we waited

Daddy... you're in my way...
Pup loved to be allowed to run freely on the road, it dead-ended in the dock and where it ends behind the boys, it turned over a little islet and was visible for at least double the length, so no car could come without us seeing it minutes before it arrived.

Hard to get a picture of it, but they have the same kind of trotting-style...

Me on Mothers Day. The dress makes me look humongous, but the fabric is gorgeous and feels marvelous against the skin, really light cotton.

Food. We ate this today, hubs downed them, my mom cooked them. Nom nom

He climbed up there, and sat staring out at the street for about an hour, saying Biiil (caaar) for every car that passed outside this Friday afternoon as the rain was poring down.

 funny face

Eating mashed potatoes by oneself... We finally know why his curls grows so much, he feeds them...

Wanna borrow my kitty? (Ki, iss, kah, kii-kah, isse, ish loved pet has many names...)

I'll cuddle him myself then .

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur...

Mr Handsome himself at his cousin A's 16th birthday

Happy in his padded helmet =)

This last is a song I've fallen in love with. It's patriotic, both to country and to my native tongue Swedish. And I love the music and how the voices work together.

car seat sold

This was the add:

I entered it yesterday, and today before lunch a guy called about it. They came to see it just before 1pm (I quit work early, we had nothing to do) and they bought it.
A bit of a pinch in my heart, this was the first thing we bought for the nupper-pupper, but with a lifespan of 5 (yes, FIVE!) years, it's not likely we'll be able to use it for any future siblings, so I finally decide to sell it while it was worth something.
It was OK though, they seemed happy with the condition, and pleased and such.

so he wears a helmet

Yup, the result of seeing the kid-psychologists were pup should wear a padded helmet so everyone can just ignore him during his tantrums, and then acknowledge him when he behaves good.
I suppose I've been on the right track then, laying him down on his back and then letting him have it out.

Both psychologists there were convinced he had no Autism or such disorders, which neither me nor hubs thought, what daycare have deluded themselves to think I don't know.
However we'll get a mini-cope class next week (cope apparently being something used on kids acting out, small kids ages 3-6 years, and then one class for kids older) just the two of us, and they'd go to daycare to observe before giving recommendations there.

I felt comfortable with about everything they said, they seemed to be thinking the same way we do, only they have so much more knowledge on how to handle stuff.
I also loved how they tried to focus on what could be done better, or differently (to try and see if it would work) instead of just going over the problem until the end of days...
Need I say both me and hubs sensed the headmistress not being too pleased with the meeting? We could be wrong, but still, that was what she emitted. And she was being almost provocative towards hubs today when he picked up pup. I seriously don't understand what her problem is. Oh well, it will be interesting to see what the "investigation" shows, and what will happen next.

untitled

So, now the Bumbo chair have been picked up (they couldn't come before today) and we're waiting for the father-in-law to drop of his computer here, it has crashed and hubs will try to save it, and then go out to my mom for some running in the garden and "organizing" granny's bookshelves.

Tomorrow we're going to BUP (Barn och Ungdoms Psikiatriska enheten, Child and Youth Psychiatric unit) with pup. Not because anyone thinks there's anything wrong with him, but because of his tantrums. Since neither we nor daycare knows how to handle him well and break the pattern we're going there to get some help. The special teached they have in daycare said it's a behaviour pattern that he's got stuck in, where "normal" kids just do it for a short period of time and then move on, he's been going at it for half a year now.

They wanted to med pup (of course), both the parents and also preferably someone from daycare, but we still don't know if daycare will send anyone. Oh well, we can't force them to.

new toys

Hubs has ordered himself a new laptop, since his 3-4 years old one is dying. Fair enough.
At the same time we figured we'd upgrade my lap top (3 years old) because I mainly read from it, and a 10" screen is a bit small for that, so 12" here I come =)
Not completely decided yet though, I'm fighting with "do I really need a laptop"...
I mean, the money from selling the old one (150€) could be used to finance new glasses, or well, bows at least. The ones I'm using (the Silhouette ones) are 10 years old and loose their shape at least once a week.
Hubs also bought himself a new cell... yeah, it would be about as powerful as my intended laptop...

Also, talking about shopping, I bought a Bumbo babysitter yesterday, at the fleamarket, for 50c (yup, 0,50€) washed it up and placed it in the market. Before the night was over it was sold for 25€ ka-ching =)

and he grows and grows and grows...

Last week we went for a 1,5 year check-up on pup, and he passed the "exam" with flying colors. They tested motor skills and such, and just observed his behaviour. Which was racing a cart around the room, singing and throwing blocks on the floor...

The facts came down to 13,260 gr and 85 cm, so I was a bit off. I had thought thirteen and a half kilo, and 86 centimeters. My big little boy =)

Welcome!

A very close friend added a pretty little girl to her family today.
And since she is so close to me that I consider her my extended family, this girl was also added to my family.

fire, finds and cows

Edit:: Picture removed due to lack of space

On Valborg's Eve (30th of April), we took a turn on town before going out to the in-laws. I found 2 pairs of shorts for pup (1,5€ each) and a t-shirt (1€) and then a lady who were packing down a table, asked if I wanted some jeans. I hesitated, since pup is pretty well stocked for the fall, but figured I could at least ask what sizes.
Turned out, the lady picked up a pair of adult jeans... for me! And I said, no no, those will be too small. But she insisted (and after she had shown them up I thought it could work) and I said well OK, I won't be the one to turn down free stuff. I figured I'd try them on later, I mean, I can always give them away or to charity if they don't fit.
But they did. ALL FOUR PAIRS!!! I should have bought a lottery ticket (but all the stores were already closed)

Watching the fire with grandpa.
Riding grandpa's shoulders after having run away from the party sight and playing in the woods and the tractor-tracks...
 Drinking mead
Uhm, mom, why won't the raisin come out?

Today, the first of May, we went to Bolstaholm to watch as they released the cows from their winter-holding inside. We and the rest of the young-children-families on the island =)

Pup found his aunt/godmother, godfather and his 3 cousins. Happy and content in being the center of attention =) There was also W and H from the mommy-group, with their parents of course.
And then came the cows...
I didn't really get good pictures of it, but they were really running like crazy, having been pent up all winter inside. And the "Muuuing"... They were really loud, and it was like they were all shouting to each other "look over there, green grass, and there and there and there...."

first of May

Happy first of May everyone!
