the day at sea

The Gnuffer's granddad has a boat e-i e-i oh!
And on that boat there was a mom e-i e-i oh!
And she said sh-sh here and don't go there e-i e-i oh!...
Pup really enjoyed the boat ride. So much to see.
Though the food wasn't particularly good. Thawed raspberries, still frosty, mind you, he ate them all!
We found a pretty islet and landed. On the other side was the open ocean. We reckoned that when fall storms blow hard, the waves come straight over the top of this islet.
We had food and drinks and then the grandmothers decided to go swimming. Insanity, I know. Of course, this one took her time, as usual.
So the gnuffer splashes on in a shallow pool. It was kinda icky and exciting, all at the same time =)
And then finally she was in. (yup, this is the photographic evidence)

then the gnuffer took a rest in his brand new second hand stroller. Bought the same morning on our way to the rendezvous point. A Finnish brand called Emma
Once awake it was time for his bath. Then the boys went to the boat to boil potatoes on the gasoline stove, and suddenly it began bubbling around pup. I figured he was peeing, until I saw the color *groan* so the the pup ended up in the ocean while his granny rinsed out the pool and then we gave him new water and sat him back in it. He behaved better this time =)
After dinner was finished we began packing up, and then left the islet like we found it...
... pretty much untouched and on the brink of the ocean.
